WIFA serves as an important platform for recognizing women whose contributions enhance the artistic depth and cultural impact of the film industry. Through these awards, WIFA aims to inspire future generations and promote greater female representation and mentorship within the creative sector.

As we enter our seventh year, we are reminded of the remarkable resilience, brilliance, and imagination that women bring to Kenya’s film and television landscape. WIFA was created to champion these voices, elevate their stories, and expand opportunities for those shaping our creative future. Each nomination is a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made—and the future we are building together,” said Dr Susan Gitimu
