From the makers of PARAMOUR and CAGED BIRD, SON OF MAN PRODUCTIONS crown the first quarter this April with another engrossing stage play, DRUMS OF WAR.
DRUMS OF WAR, takes place in the year 1952 and follows a Kenyan soldier taken up by the British Army to go and fight in World War 2, he comes home after 7 years of living in obscurity and uncertainty only to find his wife trying to fight the trauma of having lost him yet now, he’s back and very much alive. What follows is a rollercoaster of painful emotions with all characters fighting to come to terms with the present reality. Each fighting their own fears and hopes amid a soldier not fully recovered from PTSD. All this while in the background, a country fighting for her independence.
