After the success of the soul-stirring and resonant performance in Every Brilliant Thing this May, Mugambi Nthiga is back on stage with yet another storytelling performance, this time as director of STORY SOSA. While Every Brilliant Thing was highly interactive, Story Sosa promises to be a multimedia storytelling performance in front of a live audience.
“Through a seamless integration of various mediums, Story Sosa promises an audio-visual feast unlike anything ever witnessed in Kenya. Prepare to have your perspectives transformed and your senses engaged, as even the most ordinary of things, like monkeys or samosas, take on a whole new significance in this innovative storytelling experience,”

Mugambi Nthiga is an experienced hand on both screen and stage, as performer, screenwriter, playwright and even as director. Some of his cinematic credits include Lusala, Kati Kati, Supa Modo and Nairobi Half Life. On stage, he has been at the centre of projects such as Too Early for Birds-Mboya Edition, Every Brilliant Thing and the highly-popular seven-person improv comedy Because You Said So, which regularly hosts sold-out shows.
We’ve been working on this for a bit, and now it’s finally here. An experiment in live storytelling. Five stories presented by their writers, with subjects ranging from AI, to the meaning of Home, to the politics of hair, to samosas. All accompanied by photography and animation.
