What comes to mind when you hear of the paranormal? Is it ghosts? Extraterrestrial anomalies? Well, whatever it is, let’s focus on how YOU respond to it.
The aforementioned is the root of the story behind RUDI, a paranormal short film written and directed by Derrick Kinyanjui under See Me Studios and Thiomi Citú Entertainment .
RUDI explores the human psychology behind paranormal activity, the line between what the mind perceives as real or not. The latter being fueled by paranoia, loneliness, stress, anxiety amongst many other mental responses.
“I am a geek when it comes to the strange, dark and mysterious. I listen to many paranormal stories from different outlets, my favorite being Mr. Ballen. However, I often come to the question of how the human mind responds to this kind of scenario, whether real or not and how to execute that cinematically. Derrick Kinyanjui, Director
Starring Anita Siudah and Said Yeri, RUDI is founded by the love of two characters who make a necessary decision that turns Perilous.
“I always view everything I see in a cinematic way, whether pleasant or tragic. I thought of it as a flaw before, but now, not so much.” Kinyanjui adds
RUDI will be screening at the Filmmakers Hangout on November 30 at NIMPA Institute, Zimmerman from 1pm. Get your tickets now at guzmanpictures.co.ke
