In a story of loss, resilience and love, two Strangers are brought together in circumstances that only the Holiday Season could deliver. Nuru Sia (Talie Gray) and Alex (Noel Magoti) each carry the weight of their pasts. As they navigate their grief, they unexpectedly find solace in one another – discovering that love can blossom even in the depths of sorrow.
The aforementioned is the synopsis of Okada Media’s The Christmas Run, streaming now at My Movies Africa (Watch Here). Produced by Black Unicorn Studios, in collaboration with their international Distributor – Okada Media as the first ever East African Christmas-themed Romantic Comedy, The Christmas Run tries to spread the Christmas cheer but falls short on its dialogue and delivery from its characters.
From a potential-filled concept, The Christmas Run, however, drags with its 1-hour 47-minute runtime due to its nap-inducing pace.
Talie Gray and Noel Magoti give a commendable performance from a script that unfortunately puts one at arm’s length in terms of resonating with the characters, just hopping from one dialogue to another.
