Remember Speed (1994)? The Keanu Reeves flick that heightened your adrenaline? The film had us tighten our jaws with heavy stakes and complex characters that you couldn’t help but root for.

Bus 338 offers that, and upon your viewing, maybe even much more, right here in Nairobi after a glorious premiere in London

Set against the backdrop of a nationwide lockdown brought on by a fast spreading virus, BUS 338 follows a group of strangers attempting to navigate uncertainty and fear on what should have been a routine journey.

Bilal Mwaura as Jomo

As tensions rise and the weight of the lockdown looms over the country, the bus unexpectedly breaks down in a remote location leaving passengers vulnerable and exposed. What begins as an inconvenience quickly escalates into a life threatening ordeal when a group of hijackers takes control.

Trapped together in a confined space, the passengers are forced to confront not only the external danger but also their own fears, instincts and humanity. As survival becomes the only priority, alliances are tested, power shifts, and the line between victim and survivor begins to blur.

Robert Agengo as Ngegi

BUS 338 is a gripping exploration of human resilience, fear and the choices people make when pushed to their limits.

Produced by SNT productions Ltd and directed by Isaya Evans, Bus 338 stars Mwaura Bilal, Godfrey Odhiambo, Robert Agengo, Pascal Tokodi and Serah N Teshna (producer).

Bus 338 plays at Westgate Cinema on April 4th. Grab your tickets at mookh.com
