These techniques need to be sound so as to serve their purpose under the five elements of sound namely; Dialogue, Sound Effects, Folly, Music, and ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement).
The host institution, Multimedia University, capped off Day One with a screening of short films from its students. Each film stood out, with different themes and techniques of filmmaking attesting to this.
After an early morning screening, Day Two was reeled in by Rafiki Hub’s Kate Snow with a masterclass centered on actors but went on to catch the eyes of other creatives such as musicians and painters who saw potential for the platform to promote their works.
This was followed by a scriptwriting masterclass with Njoro wa Uba and Varshita writer Lawrence Murage, the festival came to a glamorous close with the award ceremony celebrating the films that best stood out to the jury panel and the audience.
