Curated by Sanaa Post, the Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi Film Screening was held on Sunday 21st of May 2023 at Karen, Nairobi.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi, an official body of the Italian State, aims to promote and improve awareness of the Italian language and culture in Kenya through the organization of cultural events and initiatives to promote the circulation of ideas, arts and science in the Republic of Kenya.

Sustainability, Sacrifice, Hope, Familial Relationships are just a touch of some of the themes from the short films screened at the event. Each of the three Films from different parts of the world ranging from 8 to 10 minutes long had their own message to put across through stunning stylistic visual and sound devices, suspense, metaphors, analogies and more.

The international Short Films that graced the screen at the event were; Drops of Dew, an Italian production which captured the theme of environmental sustainability. Nur Y Abir, a Palestinian production which captured the theme of friendship, security and hope. La Prospettiva Del Topo, an Italian production which highlighted the theme of sacrifice.
